Mr. Vassilis Lykomitros was born in Volos in 1963.
He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens where he also received his Ph.D. on the Effect of Calcitonin in Osteoporosis. He received the European Spinal Deformities Fellowship in 1998 and did his Spinal Fellowship in Manchester 2000-1 on anterior spinal procedures.
He has worked at the Royal Manchester Children Hospital, the Royal Orthopedic Hospital in Birmingham, Papageorgiou and Ippokrateion Hospitals of Thessaloniki, and Euromedica General Clinic of Thessaloniki. He specializes in Scoliosis Surgery both Anterior and Posterior Spinal Fusion, Minimal Invasive Spinal Surgery, Kyphoplasty and Hybrid Fusion, Total Disc Replacement Lumbar and Cervical, and Anterior Laparoscopic Spinal Fusion. He was an Elite Athlete and Olympian (World Champion Rowing and Seoul Olympics 1988).
